key'd paintwork

Some TWAT thought it would be a great idea to run a key or sum foreign object alone side my motor :x ,
the passenger door is not too bad but the rear is deep!

i have had 4 quotes today but need a bit of advice on which to go for???

£110 labour n paint (rear door only) and the guy said he would do a 12" square and blend away from that?
(im no expert but this must be a bast**d "paint match surely)???

£120+vat (rear door from strip up) paint and labour

£230(cash) in my local reputable crash repair cntre, front and rear door

And £300!!! this guy said that you will never match the paint on one door and seen as the front has a minor scratch that im willing to leave go then his advice was to do a 3 panel job to blend it? ( wing, door, rear door or front door, rear door and rear arch panel)
this to me seems a bit drastic if you ask me so scrap him!!!

does £230 sound ok for 2 doors or should i just keep the cost down and get the worst done??

Unfortunately the 4th option is the correct option.

Option 3 sounds to be at least the very minimum that you have done.

I've got to agree with John there, option for while the most expensive is really what needs to be done for the best possible result.

All depends on the quality of the work but it would be option 3 or 4 TBH. Even then i would want to see examples of work.

If you just get the door done you'l see its not rite after. as said 3 and or4 and in reality the whole side needs spraying for it to look spot on 🙁

Thanks for the input fellas, maybe it will go through the insurance then and get the job lot done? the excess fee will be cheaper than paying for it in cash.
im soooo pissed off, only had the car a couple of weeks
the biggest piss off is this was done in cardiff (80miles) from home, we was staying with friends so its not even like it was some 1 who has a grudge?? dunno..

whole side needs respraying

and 85% of the time it will never be the same finish cos the equipment in production plants cost millions

if you dont spray whole side u will see difference due to the paint fading and then u got to contend with finish

personally m8 i would get more advice

they are right mines the same on the bonnet, it wasnt too bad when i first bought it but over time.......thats why ive never posted a front end pic of my car, one day ill have enough money to get it sorted!!

Well ive been back to have a chat with option 3 and explained that the wizards on Z22SE.co.uk have said that the whole side needs doing because of the reasons above...

she re assured me( looking at me like i was thick) that when they say 2 doors will be done, they dont just mean "stand alone doors", they would have to underline HAVE TO blend into the joining panels.

this give me a bit more confidence in using them as they are cheaper than option 4 and the same sort of work is going into it? dunno..

feel for ya mate had the mrs saxo keyed as already said defo option 4 it will save ya money in the long run as you will not like the out come if not.
