Whats the most cash you spent on your 2.2 since owning it? I spent £610 the other week on a new Ecu. Thats the most I have spent so far.

i have spent around £400 so far but thats for loads of little things.like pedals/door pins,front rear lights etc.

Lol, I still need more toys for my car and 18 inch rims. Those can wait though as I am thinking about getting the timing chain done 🙂

i thought the chains were meant to last the life time of the engine ?

Mine was last done 4 years ago notsure.gif . I think I may have heard it rattle a touch the other day just like in that video clip up on here :?

yeh with lots of other bits included, should have been £3500 plus for the work they did

How did you get it cheaper :wink: . My mate has Trade at Vauxhall and showed me a book for the prices for brand new engines. I seen the engine was £1500 but don't think thats fitted notsure.gif

because they blew the old one up by dropping a bolt in there, long story............ so they did me another at trade less 50% and i had a new clutch, cylinder, mot, all gaskets and other bits n bobs for around £1350 ish if i remember rightly. then it needed a new cat, so had that done, respray plus new rims and brakes so i basically have a brand new astra

That a good few quid mate. I still have the topic wrong :lol: . I should have said whats the most you have spent on the z22se engine :wink: . This would give us a clue on how much stuff is to replace or repair 🙂. I defo want some 18 Inch rims for my Astra. I would love the Irmscher ones 😃

if i was paying for the warantee repiars it would be in the thousands plus remember most the parts ive lissted above were bought with my vauxhall discount .....dread to think how much if i were a normal punter lol

also i forgot the irmy grille, this was the first mod on the astra coupÃ© at a cost of £75, also there is the veccy mods and filter so the new total stands at £1629
