Plugs are in!!
After I'd sat down with the wife and children this morning doing the Mothers Day presents, I buggered off outside in the moring sun to fit my new Denso Iridium plugs. I rolled the car out from the garage because I wanted to see the condition of the plugs from cold.
I've just realised that i've been stiffed on the postage too. I paid for DHL insured delivery and they posted them on Royal Mail which was the cheaper option in the delivery list and was £5 odd cheaper. Road Runner are going to be getting a call in the morning me thinks!
Anyway, pics.....
The 'Banzai' stylee packaging!

Coil pack out the way. That's an art in itself to remove it now that the aircon pipe is routed over the top of the cam cover.

Genuine Vx plug out from the notorious pot #4. Always makes me cringe when undoing the plug from here.

Comparison between the Denso plug and GM plug. These new Denso plugs are very similar to the NGK Platinum plugs too also shown the other picture below.

NGK Platinum plug (PTR5A10)

Denso ready for fitting.

And the old plugs together. You can see the brown staining coming up the ceramic casing so it was time for change anyway looking at them.

The engine started up on the button from cold. Idle and revs seem as normal. Not sure to be honest if i'm going to notice any particular performance gain but i'm more interested in the fact that its a cooler running plug suitable for much higher temperatures provided by forced induction. Time will tell.
