mikeydee i keep hearing about balance shafts and people removing them. what is the purpose of the balance shafts and what is the benefit of removing them. how much does it cost to get this done roughly, is it a big job?
vocky balancer shafts are to make the idle smooth with a low tickover, they consume 5 bhp each to turn (according to GM) it's an engine out job to remove them and push the rear bearing back 7.5mm
