Gonna throw my ipod shortly...

Cant get the dam thing to connect to the internet via my router,..it shows up on the router as being connected, however it wont connect to the net......in the ipod network setting it aint being alloacted an ip address, but the router says it has....

any ideas??

select network from options and click 'renew lease' on network settings

click 'forget this network' then search and connect again

Done both those options neil......also reset network settings, still to no avail.... been trawling ipod forums for the last 3hrs,tried all there suggestions and it still wont work....... its the same with the wifes ipod to,that wont connect.....however everything else in the house( 2 laptops/wii and ps3 will)

have you tried resetting the router or manually setting up the connection

YUp.....at the end of my tether atm......

I've even disabled wireless security and it still wont connect..

Seems to me that the router was not issuing the correct dns to the pod...so after changing from dhcp to static and entering the details from the router it works....
