Hi all, not sure if this should be in this section or electrical section so sorry if ive posted in the wrong one!
The car wont start,all that is happening is a whirring noise,it wont turn over but there is power at ignition key. Im hoping it is something as simple as the starter motor being knackered but just wanted to know what everyones thoughts were before i get a new one. Also before it packed in the car had started to make a rattling noise on start up but it didnt sound like it was from the chain side it sounded like it was coming from the middle of the engine,and it only happened when the car was turning over the rattling stop when the engine fired.
