Locking tool??

I need 1 of these there quite dear tho and I'll only be using it once. Do does anybody have 1 af these at a cheap price??

what do you need it for?

If your replacing your chains for new ones its not needed altho it states in a haynes book you do.

Tryed starten it today but it was just back fireing. So timing must be out and I need the tool

get a 24mm spanner and hold it 😉

Does that work the same. I thought u had to have the same as the locking tool?

Does it have to line up to cylinder 4 r 1. And is there any difference from the new and old chain set ups

If you have fitted a new chain,there will be 3 coloured links that line up with the marks on the gears,so u dont need a locking tool..and theres no difernce between old and new chains,except the colours

Yea we've done all the coloured links and cable tied them. Everytin else was done but when we started her up it backfired . ????

Did you turn activate the tensioner,and turn the engine over by hand 1st???......did you get the marks on the gears on the cams pointing in the correct direction, i e, inlet to front and exhaust to rear...

Should the bottom cranks shaft be sitting at 12 in autodata book. But on ur website it's sitting at 1???

the cam sprocket marks should be aligned with cable ties, then the crank sprocket has a white mark, this should be aligned to the final cam chain mark
you don't need to have the crank exactly at tdc, but the marks must point to the middle of the coloured links :thumbup:

Quick question - how do you remove the cam sprocket and get it back in the correct location without using a locking tool please?

I have 2 to do and have not done them before
