Front springs?

Hey,

I'd like to drop the just front of the car between 1/2" to 1" lower, and wonder is there is a cheap alternative spring I can swap into it's place?

And is it really necessairy for me to replace the front shocks for just a small drop like this?

put 2.0lt springs on it drop it nice 🙂

most after markt springs drop about 30mm anyway the standard shocks wil be fine.
i would personall go for ebiach springs designed to work with standard shocks

i got some vectra 2.2 sri springs that are lowered as standard [10 - 20 mm ] but you probably already have those on your car

My bad, I should of said I've got an sri, they're lower as standard aren't they (?)

I have herd good things about ebiach springs. I guess if the sri springs are 10/20mm lower as standard, the ebiach 30mm lowering spring will only take mine down and extra 10/20 mm?

I thought 2.0 litre springs would make it sit higher?

what i was told is that the 2.2's were fitted with 2.5 springs so if u put 2.0lt springs on it will lower her nice as the 2.0lt isnt as heavy as the 2.2..

thats interesting i thought it was just having a "dry" (empty) engine in, as to why my astra sits higher on the front with the z20net lump in it, it hasnt changed much with oil in either.....

You need 2 ltr springs, not 2.5. The V6 is major heavy against a 2.2 alloy engine. If 2.5 springs were used on a 2.2, the front end would be way up. Speak to the specialist on this subject. Mark Watts at Courtenay Sport.

The Jamex springs do look great, really lower it well.

I too herd the 2.2 was lighter than the 1.8.....

So if all sri's were all 10 - 20 mm lower than standard, and the 2.2 is the lightest engine in the range, then I guess the 2.2 sri has the shortest / weakest spring in the range as standard. This is messin with my head lol! :wtf:
It would be great if the 2.0 spring do lower it a touch, as I've got some kickin about, but I know how much hastle they are to swap over, so only want to do it if it's worth doing.

Has anyone got pics of 2.0 springs on a 2.2 sri????
