Diesel_Beemer If I never touched the balancer chain (was already timed) and turned the crank 10+ times then chucked the cam chain on will that be OK? Thanks
Diesel_Beemer Right, I have put the chain on and searched on here everywhere and it would appear my timing marks are different to the guides on here. My cam cog markers point to in between the links not to a whole link. Why is this?
Diesel_Beemer Like the pulleys have been fitted the wrong way round. Other thing is, there is only 1 copper link... The rest are just normal.
Diesel_Beemer I have turned it over by hand now and all goes back to position. You know the tensioner in the back of the block? Well is it supposed to make a deep clicking noise whilst turning by hand? I can see its the tensioner getting pushed back in and it's when it fires back out that's making the noise (if that makes any sense? LOL)
