Breakdown cover

Just wondering how many of you have breakdown cover on your cars and is it worth having?

Just about to renew my car insurance and will be using Adrian Flux and they have offered me breakdown cover at a cost of £42 on top of my premium and was wondering if i should go for it.

i didnt take it this year but prob will nxt yr,as hoping to go to a few shows etc,and dont wanna be stuck miles away from home...£42 sounds resonable tho..

yeah i thought it seemed a good price.

don't think i'll need it around here as my dad knows loads of the local garages and can get one of them to help me out but was thinking it might come in handy when i go on holidays in september.

same here m8,as i work in agarage,local breakdowns aint aprob,wot do u get for the money tho

Flux rescue, UK and European cover, including breakdown and recovery, home call service, full motor legal protection and £80,000 personal accident cover.

ive got aa breakdown cover got it with the bank im with includes breakdown cover home start courtesey car onward travel to my detination all for £2 a month

I'm with RAC, only got the roadside cover, had it since I started driving, since my first 2 cars had a tendency of breaking, and did use it a couple of times.

yea with the rac aswell used them a few times but mot for the astra yet

I have AA cover for the family just for peace of mind if the wife is out with our son and her car breaks down.

Try Norwich Union, I went to them as they were about £40 cheaper for the same cover as I had with the AA. JOint personal cover, covers two of you in any car as driver or passebger, roadside rescue, onward travel, hire car, take you to your destination etc, top cover for £86 for both of us.
