Tensioner guide???

Basically how do u get this wee bugger back in place. The chain is timed up bt ive to put the tensioner guide Back in now but it wont go??? Help please??

if your in london i can help you mate what i did was pressed the tensioner agianst a wall to release it then got my 32mm filled the socket up with paper so that i could push the tensioner

Its not the tensioner itself it actually the long arm thing that sits against the chain and the tensioner pushes against. Am i making any sense lmao prob nat lol

that should have been fitted b4 you put the chain on and timed the engine???

i got mine inplace bit fidd;y though it can be done

It def is fiddely. It pushes up abit then stops and u can push no more. We then loosened the chain and pushed it up but couldn't then get the chain on the lower bit??

Any suggestions

take the chain off on that side will only take 5 minutes

the tensioner guide (exhaust side) goes in from the top, with the exhaust cam sprocket removed, the other (inlet side) guide goes in from the bottom with the chain tensioned

As vocky already said take the exhaust cam sprocket off then drop the guide in from the top :thumbup:

IIrc the haynes manual says to slide it up into place b4 the chain is fitted...

Ok jst got it done there tonite. Jst the rest of it to build up now then she should be good to roll

Its fit chain and inlet sprocket then slide tentioner rail up from underneath then fit exhaust sprocket.

I remembered you have to leave the exhaust sproket off then fit tentioner rail but from top is wrong then. sorry :shifty:
