Problem with Vec c pipe

alrite, iv had what is accumulated to around 2 ours of fiddling trying to get the Vec c Deisel air intake pipe to meet the airbox right.

its really close and is working properly as far as i can tell, its just not all the way onto the lead of from the bottom of the airbox, its sitting at a slight anglw, but no matter how hard i try and force it on, it just does not seem to budge, seems to be a hose from the side of the radiator exactly where i need to put the intake pipe.

is there any wee tricks i can do to solve this, iv toyed with the idea of jubilee clipping it onto the airbox before i put either in, but tbh was a lil bit scared of making a bit of a mess of my hand trying to force it in, but as far as i can see it might be the only way. Did anyone else have a problem fitting it to the astra G? or am i just a bitty stupid? dunno..

if you mean the connector that fits between the airbox and the veccy c pipe its a rubbish fit :thumbdown: you end up sort of kinking the connector which im sure isnt good for air flow.i brought some reinforced polyurene pipe from ebay cut it to lengh and cable tied it to airbox end and pipe end and works a treat.if you look in the car of the month winners you will see a car owned by ffoeg thats where i got the idea from :thumbup:

right, couldnt be arsed buyin more parts so nicked a jubillee clip from me sis's car, and connected the adaptor to the airbox beofre it went in, tight fit but she went in, then just slided the airpipe over and used a flat screwdriver to work the airpipe into the adaptor pipe, hey presto, vec c pipe fitted, guess the saying 3rd time lucky really does apply, hahaha

cheers for the advice tho guy, i may do that wen i want to add another air feed, just have two feeds the same, maybe even 3, who knows, see how space goes cheers..
