Ashep22 Just a quick question, im going to replace both front and rear front control arm bushes, but ive got a choice of getting standard rear front control arm bushes or caster offset rear control arm bushes i know that caster helps center the steering coming out of a corner so im not sure which ones to get. Im also going to lower the car with Eibach sportline springs. Has anyone had any experience with caster offset rear control arm bushes? I would be interested in how it feels and weather i should get the standard ones or the offset ones? Cheers, Ash.
astra22bertoneauto Hiya I would go for the offset ones or if not the powerflex bushes. Ive got powerflex on mine at the front and you can feel a difference. As for the eibach springs - thats a must get! Ive got a set on mine with the bilstein gas shocks. apart from potholes you get a smooth but firm ride. AND they were cheaper than the vauxhall dealer OE replacements! Ashep22 Im going to replace them with some sort of Polyurethane type bush, it might not be Powerflex because i live in oz but there are other brands like Whiteline or SuperPro. astra22bertoneauto said: Hiya I would go for the offset ones or if not the powerflex bushes. JohnnyN I'm running on Eibach springs, Bilstein Yellow B8's, fully Powerflex poly bushed and a Whiteline fixed rear anti-roll bar. The ride is very good, handling is spot on and as mentioned already, you wouldn't notice firmness until you hit a pothole.
Blue_2_2 Good luck getting powerflex bushes, the factory burnt down! I saw it on the way to power engineering or whats left of it!
