Headgasket gone??

Hi,

Checked the oil this morning and there was a small amount of creamy sludge on the oil filler cap and a bit milky on the dipstick.
I havent checked this for about 6-8 weeks so could have built up slowly over that period. Is this definately the head gasket gone or poor breather pipe? Water level was only slightly down.
The car is an 06 2.2 SRI with 87k on the clock.

any advice??

had same prob with mine give it a good wipe and its ok now .. its most likely just a build up of condensation.

Thanks. i did have this with a 3 series BMW and it was just condensation on the dipstick but not on the oil filler

You'll usually get oil in the header tank when the head gasket is gone too. Wipe it clean. Go for a drive and get the engine nice and warm and upto temp then check again. I'm sure it'll be fine.
