V-Belt size

Just bought V-belt for my vec C and appears to be the correct one for mine according to EPC P/No.55351458 and states it's size as 1028mm, however according to TIS it says it should be 1030mm, wouldn't have thought the 2mm wiould make much difference, but just hope they gave me the right belt!! any thoughts guys?

the size doesn't have to be a certain length, so anything between 1025mm and 1035mm would fit your car

I have a 837mm on mine :wtf:

Ok thanks Vocky, I tried to fit the belt this morning but gave up as I can't get any of my tools down to the tensioner (square hole) as there is just not enough space between tensioner and body, is there a special tool available to do this?

I use a 3/8 breaker bar. You may need to give it a nudge in with a screwdriver as the locking ball is tight to get in.

Thanks mate, that's exactly what I discovered I needed, but haven't got one , only got a 1/2" breaker bar, however just for a laugh I phoned my local vx dealer and asked them how much to fit the belt and it's about £30 as I already bought the belt, so thought to hell with it and let them do it and while it's there, I'll get them to check the tensiner and pulleys etc, not worth me pullling the thing apart again at that price to be honest.
