Are there any differnet types of cam cover gaskets neil..??

As i ordered one 2day for a 2002 2.2 astra and its differnt to the other one ive ordered in the past,so rang vx back up aand ordered one off my old reg and it came back as a diffeernt part no.??

it's strange Daz, i read after you phoned me that the z22yh has a black plastic cam cover instead of an aluminium one, could that be the answer?

you prob find the astra one is a different part number and is more expensive than the vectra one

even though they are the same part

i remember this discussion a few months back about it, vx220 parts are more epxensive though the same as the vectra but with different part numbers

looks like the different part number is based on later engine number [plastic cam cover ?]

there should only be two types like Mike said, alloy or plastic cover

My Vec C Z22SE has the plastic cover, I asked benny if it was different fitting wise to the metal one and and if I remember rightly he said only the gasket and bolt set were different.
