Hi, im looking to replace all four shocks, and maybe get some eibach springs, i thought though while im at it, what else should i replace in this area.. ie cv joints, brushers..
My astra hatch has done 160,000km and i think has all the original suspension components from when it left the factory (new).
A few things ive noticed:
1- Every little bump on the road i hit feels like ive hit a pot hole, first i thought it was high air pressure in the tyres but changing the pressure did nothing.
2- I get excessive wear on the inside edge of the front two tyres, had the two rear ones replaced due to patchy wear all over the tyre, (like i have been locking it up with the handbrake but i havent).
3- When driving at 100kms - 110kms the steering wheel vibrates, (more shudders) but i comes on then goes away and keeps doing it until i back the speed off.
4- It always pulls to the left when driving no mater what speed, and has done it ever since i can remember, (ive owned it from 80,000kms) no wheel alignment and balance has fixed this.
5- When doing a 90 degree left turn the left wheel seems to squeak like a mouse on a running wheel.
6- When going over speed humps, it sounds like a creaky bed.
And thats all i can think of at the moment, if i remember anything else ill list it, but otherwise, if anyone can list a part to replace for each or any of these problems i would appreciate it.
