I've ordered 2m of new hose from Roose this afternoon, as the quality of the clear doesn't seem very good.

Idles at -22/24, and boosts to 12-14psi, holding about 10, which is what a standard VXR will boost to.

Looking good Matt, as said above get some blue pipe work for the vac pipe, I would also put a cable tie on the connection points ie the T piece just to stop any air leaks.

Cheers Mark, I ordered some more hose the day I fitted it, and Roose have only just come back saying it will be posted today!

The new hose turned up this morning from Roose Motorsport, and I'm a lot happier now this is fitted

Big difference in quality between the two

The original 90deg piece of hose goes back on the thin piece which routes down the back of the engine, and a new piece used

Looking Better Matt 🙂. Can I have a different live for my set up as I am not too keen on the radio live for it? I could not find a live on my cig lighter for some reason. I was out in it last week and the boost gauge kept going off, I think I need to solder the wires on as mine are only wrapped around the live and earth. When I touched the cig lighter area my gauge would light up again, I must have a dodgy wire joined up on my gauge to the cig light or something.

Does your boost gauge just need a switched live, or a permanent live also?

All the power feed for mine is taken from the cig lighter. I used switched live from the light connection, and earthed it to the earth wire from the cig lighter itself.

I have 3 wires for mine, live, switched live for the light and earth. I think my live must have to be on all the time. Here is the instructions for mine...

Reading your instructions, it looks like it should wire up exactly the same as I did mine, and you don't need a permanent live.

8) Connect the red power wire to a switched +12 volt source that maintains power during engine cranking.

I'd connect your red wire from the MAP to the light fitting in the cig lighter, that is what I've done, and earth it the same.

I've not actually got my light one wired up, as it comes on anyway when the engine is started.

Hmm, my red wire is a main live and then the earth. Then I have a live for the light on the gauge display to wire up. I wonder why the have 2 lives, ones a light for the display when the ignition goes on. Wonder if I can put the 2 lives together?

Don't see why not. It says to connect both to a switched live source, just means the light on the gauge will only come on when the engine is running, and not just with the lights on. As I said, mine isn't even wired up, as the light on the gauge comes on when I start the car anyway. I'd just be able to have it come on with the rest of the interior lights without having to start the car.

The foam pad I used to stick the boost gauge to the dash has started to come loose already. Anyone know a good alternative double sided foam pad to use that will stick like shit to a blanket?
