Right Ive managed to get hold of a Z22SE from a Zafira for £50. It's covered 65K miles and has a problem with the cylinder head, it apparently had a problem with oil getting to the cam/lifters and has worn the cam and it looks as thought the valves or the lifters are bent, check out the photo...

Im guessing the Bottom end should be ok, the engine ran but wasn't right, thats pretty much the description given, however, I plan to take the engine out on my vectra split it, take the head off it and use it on this ones bottom end since the bottom end of the one currently in my Vectra has worn of piston rings... Now I have also just had the timing chain replaced so I'll transfer that to the new engine, however I didn't get the balencing chain changed so will get a new one fitted while the engine is out, I also plan on getting a new clutch, makes sense while its easier to get to... so thats my project over the next month or so, hoping it all goes to plan, I take it there are no major differences with a Z22SE from a Zafira and one from a Vectra?
The new lump... SELLERS DESCRIPTION READ... (This 2.2 petrol engine with 65k on it has just been removed from my wifes Zafira after suffering from a lack of oil to one of the cams. I have no idea why this has occured since it has never run low on oil and has not been driven hard. I assume an oil passage has blocked somewhere. It will require a rebuild by someone who knows what they are doing. If you have the time and skill to strip an engine or want to modify this (I believe they are used in the VX220 and astra) then this could be for you. I have taken the rocker cover off for photos of the damage. The engine block and crank should still be ok since it was only run for a short time like this. Please contact me with any questions.
