Diffrent 2.4 Inlet Manifold

Hi,
sry for the bad english, i am from Switzerland 🙂

I bought from a dealer in Germany a 2.4 Inlet Manifold. Yesterday i fitted it. But now, when i see all of your Manifolds, mine looks very diffrent.
Here is a picture of the manifold:

Is this the wrong one? Does it anyway bring more Power to my Z22SE? And the "unterdrucksensor"(the thing which is measuring the pressure in the manifold) does not really fit. Any possibilitys to fix that?

that is what my 2.4 manifold looked like, the gains in bhp are only really noticible when your at some pace i missed the pull of the old manifold tbh.

the MAP / unterdrucksensor isn't the best fit, but it seems to work ok dunno..

So mine is the wrong one? Where can i get the "right" Manifold? And from which car is mine? Has anyone done a dyno run with this manifold?

I think there saying its the right one. Opel have a 2.4 in there Antara in Europe but we dont get it in our Vx Antara. From memory its very underpowered, something like 40 hp less than the Z22SE.

Not 40hp but 7hp. The 2,4l has 140hp. But is it the same engine?

EDIT: I looked in the EPC and it's not the same manifold

I stand corrected, I was looking at the wrong figure. 103 kW (138 hp) But still, a 2.4 with less power than the 2.2.

I asked my dealer, and he says it's the 2.4l manifold, but a newer one with the same specification but a diffrent design. Can anyone certify that?

This is mine, the runners on yours look smaller

And this is a 2.2 one next to the 2.4

on the upside it doesnt appear to have that annoying lump we all had to chop off,
wether there are any performance gains is another story dunno..

just looking at this post and thinking whats the direct difference or reasons on swapping the 2.2 inlet to a 2.4 as from what i see theres not much. dunno..

you get better high end bhp(how much is debateable) but it is a direct sacrifice for torque, i thought mine sucked after notsure.gif

I think your one is from a Cobalt 2,4 and not from a 2006 Saturn ION?!

It could be a good compromise though better top end but less torque loss low down?

I only noticed more power in higher rpms. But it is not much. But a big loss of torque in lower rpms. Now i bought the right 2.4l manifold and then i can do a direct comparison of the two manifolds.

EDIT: I paid 250euro.

250... including throttle body seal - c/case seal - and 4 gaskets?

Where did you bought it? And why did you bought now the "right" one? ( From the Saturn ION or the Cobalt 2,4?! ) Do you think the right one will make more Power? How long did it take to change it? Did you made photos of both manifolds?

Yes, including all of these things. I bought it at www.gh-dynamics.de I hope the "right" one will bring more power. It took about 6 hours to change it, but most of the time i needed to build the ecu mount. At the moment i cant do any pictures of the new manifold, because the new manifold was delivered to my adress in germany.
