sdbutler10 no rush on this job so no finish date. i want it how i just right so going ot take time over it. its ok as my engine is fine atm so i will keep looking after that.
sdbutler10 update. dropped the block off to get honed ready for new pistions and rings, while i was there i picked up the head which turned out to be all fine. had a pressure test and a slight skim. now to remove the valves readyfor porting and polish. And a quick mock up with the rocker cover on and this pic shows it true colour

sdbutler10 well today i done a bit more. first i stripped down the head and then started to clean up the ports. head being stripped down head all stripped down how it started, got to be one of the worst casting ever. starting to clean up the ports so thats it for now will carry on with head tomorrow and for the next few weeks lol
BURT150 Takes alot of time and effort but that'l be well worth it in the end. How much are you taking out of the ports?
sdbutler10 on the inlet nothing just cleaning them up and getting rid of the casting marks on the exhaust side opening them up to match the gasket and just genrally smoothing them out. deff be worth it by the time im finished.

sdbutler10 right bit more of an update picked my block up today which has been honned. also picked up the balancer shafts cut dont and machined up and my new z22yh con rods 😃 i have already pushed the bearings back in the block by 7.5mm so not oging to start getting it together. shows bearing been put back the rods and idler shafts.
