Will be good to see what it's like compared to Si's Porta Cable, given the massive difference in price between them. If it's OK, I think next time the car needs doing, I'll invest in one myself (finally!)

i have been looking in to these matt, there is about 4 different brands badging the kestrel da6 as their own! cleanyourcar.co.uk being one of them
the cleanyourcar.co.uk one has a 1.5 meter lead which is longer than all the rest
then you got choose the products you want!!!

ive got a porter cable, its SO much easier than doing it by hand,
i dont know what i did before!

I'm a cheap skate and got a silverline multi speed one which my bodyshop uses but it's good for the price

The Silverline rotary is pretty much the industry standard what all the detailers use Scott.

Yep, the silverlines aren't expensive.

The DA's are safer you use though, as it's a lot more difficult to burn through the paint.

looks a bit like that one but mines orange.
i been there before with burning through the paint on my old astra the day after it was fully painted. opps i said lol.

The blue and orange had a slight diff on speeds and warm start up.

I like mione apart fromt the hologramming it can add to paint, Also got a DA to correct it though.

Kestrals are meant to be good let us know how you get on.

I'm after some advice on this DA in the link above. I've never used one before and don't know what order you use the products in and what pad does what. How do you use it?

That kit is great bit of kit for starting you may just want to add some more pads and also a 4" backing plate and some 4" pads :thumbup:

You will need for 4" pads for doing smaller areas like bumpers / side skirts.

You can get away with bigger pads but it makes it easier.

This tape is also better then noraml tape, although i have nearly stoppped taping cars up, unless they have alot of plastic.

As for products you can not go wrong with the kit then maybe some 3m stuff but i still like megs #80 and the poorboys SSR range :thumbup:

Thanks Simon. As for mini meet, you may be right! I really would like to learn how to do this properly. Its like moving on to the next level in detailing.
