4-1 or 4-2-1 manifold for Z22YH

Which manifold would provide me with better low end performance i.e 0-60 time. Not too worried about top end performance... MIJ quoted me £480 for a 4-1 manifold and £180 for a sports cat. Will def go there just need a final tip as to which manifold would suit my needs the most! thx for any responses in advance.

Is it going on a vectra c then? I don't think there will be enough room to fit a 4-2-1.

yeh its an 06 facelifted Vectra C. I'll ask MIJ whether the 4-2-1 is compatible, just wasnt sure on relevant performance characteristics. Ive read many conflicting views regarding which manifold produces better bhp or torque etc

4-2-1 is always a better route to go down just depends if theres enough room. other wise get a 4-1 and theres a few of them on the market now. and the 4-1 are about £350 area and i cant see the SE manifold being much different from the YH one.

There will be, but the cat will have to go in the usual place underneath the car, the Vec C usually has in where the down pipe would go. Daz moved Vids Cat under his car no probs, think he needed a vec b o2 sensor as the loom is longer than the C's.

yeh the bloke at MIJ said they always try to fit the 4-2-1 wherever possible so should work out ok. Now just got to tank up for the drive up there and be prepared to train it back to london! Said it would take him 2-3 days as he needs to order new gaskets... Feel lonely without the car hehe
