I'm from the States and I currently have an 05 Elise with the Toyoter lump. I'm pulling it out as we speak to be repaced by an LNF turbo Ecotec. The reason I am here is for imformation and parts. I am specifically looking for a VX220 subframe but I'm not entirely sure it's necessary. That's just the advise I got from Norfolk. I don't mind a little fabrication FBR or aluminum as thats what work with everyday. I realized the wheelbase will stretch but I'm prepared for that. I'm also interested in some driveshafts and possibly hubs but I can find the hubs here new if I need too. I won't make too many pesky posts I'm more here or less to enjoy and read after I locate the parts. I've done a lot of custom fabrication to my Elise clams already and tried to make it a little tougher. Rear tailights are five inches further apart. Thanks and hello

I did all of the paint my self in someone's driveway. I let my wife drive the car quite a bit last year and while I had the fiberglass and bondo out I went to town. I've done a lot of bodywork for the Air Force and now I'll get to fly so I am maintaining my skills. I am a GM fan here and not so much Toyota (exception of MR2) and the LNF is a no brainer. I can't wait for the torque and turbo power! - plus the five lug wheel selection.

hello and welcome!nice motor! is the lnf the same as our z20net? the uk versions are a pain to convert as its almost all electronic, immobilisers and stuff make it difficult, get there in the end tho! :thumbup:

Much better that the Net, its a Direct injected VVT with twin scroll Turbo, fitted to the Opel GT amongst others running at 260hp stock, just a map see's it over insignia VXR power and that runs something like 325 hp.

personally I would make some new mounts to fit your current subframe, the only mount on the vx220 subframe is the rear gearbox mount. The side mounts go to the chassis

I can take measurements for you as my vx220 has the rear clam off at the moment :thumbup:
