Matt If you want to take a look yourself, you only have to remove the case. Depending on what type of PC it is, it should just be a couple of screws down the side, and slide the cover off, or a quick release catch.
blue_se2 yep 2 screews on the back and it slides off will have a look. I just thought there was somewhere in the control pannel that told you what was hardware was installed on the pc and what was not used if that makes sence? eg: pci slot 1 video card, pci slot 2 audio card pci 3 not in use???
Matt Not sure on that mate, I know you can view the installed hardware via the control panel, but I've never done it to check for spare slots, I just pull the PC to bits 😃
Matt Cheers guys. Big test for the system will be while I'm on holiday, as I'll be leaving it running for two weeks solid. Going to have to set it recording to my external drive, as the on board HDD is only 40GB, and it takes 6GB for each days worth of recordings.

Matt No mate, they never got back to me. Not really fussed any more, as I got all the damage out with minimal work.
MikeS anyway they are not allowed to hand over CCTV footage to anyone under the data protection act and even the police you have to follow guidelines

Mark_Dj Matt I have just downloaded this program for my camara, whats the best settings to record with. Have you got the free version? It looks a decent programe, also how do you get the pictures you capture 8)
Mark_Dj Just getting it setup on my Iphone now, got the live web feed working as well 🙂 . Matt how long did it take for the app on your iphone to connect to the camera at home. Mine has been stuck on looking for live cams service.
Matt Have you set up the streaming server on the app Mark? You'll also need to open the ports on any firewall you are running.

Matt What camera have you got Mark? I record mine with a MPEG4 compression, which was installed from the driver CD that came with my camera.
Mark_Dj I don't know what kind it is Matt, had it for years and it just goes into my tv card on my pc. Can you see my camera live on your Iphone app now, my camera is switched on. I have it on the Iphone at this moment in time.
Matt Cool, only reason I asked is because it doesn't look like it does night vision. I want to get a better camera and video card, as the USB one I have is a jap imitation one.
Mark_Dj I have a night vision one but I don't want people to see my camera at night, no one knows I have the one thats up now. If I put my other one up people would see the infa red lights at night.
