Got my CCTV kit through this morning, and just in the process of fitting it all.

This is a quick recording on the lowest quality setting

Thats not that bad quality to say its on its lowest setting, have you got a link to the kit? I was going to get one after my car got keyed twice but was advised against it as the cars on the road.

Yeah, it's got 30 LED's for night vision.

Will see how I get on with it, and will then buy another camera to have on the back of the house.

Just finished getting this all set up, and I've installed a different bit of software, which allows me to stream to feed onto the web 😃

I've changed the compression to use Microsoft MPEG-4, and I've had it recording for 5.5 hours and the file size is 1.4gb, so not that bad really.

That's the neighbours side of the hedge. It's technically all theirs, as it's on their side of the drive, but I keep my side trim. Can't stand a messy bush 😃

I am however, getting a load of interference in night mode for some reason??

I've messed about with the camera a bit, as I thought it might have been interference from the cable, but it's not. I've had it running straight into the recorder, and it's still the same. Suppose that's why it was only £15.

I think it may be, because there is a street light directly opposite our house on the other side of the road. It's a bit hard to test it out properly in place, as the PC is in the other room 🙁
Might see if I can make some sort of cover for the camera to shield it from extra light.

There is a bit of glare in the top right corner from streetlight but the lines could be interference from the LED's? Maybe they are not on in the day just when the light is low enough?

Ether way looks a nice little piece of kit! More than what iv got.lol.
Definately somthing I'll be looking at when we move.

Managed to figure the interference issue.....it was the Power Adaptor.

Swapped it round this morning, and no more interference
