Fault code P1404 - EGR Valve

Hi Guys

This fault code on my car after the cold snap - I suspect the EGR is sticking owing to the weather

I have seen that this may be a common problem

Where is it located and is the part serviceable? (ie can I unstick/lubricate it?)

I don't want to blank it off as I'm selling the car shortly and want to keep it standard, but don't want to sell it faulty!!

Any images help would be much appreciated. - Its a Vectra B SRI 150 02 reg thanks

the only way to fix it is either replace the duff valve or blank it off and fit an egr cheater

got a spare one of these that's "nearly new" if your interested for a fair price

Fixed now - removed and lubed (ooer missus)

Remove it is the best way :thumbup:

mine is giving the same fault code and i have the cheater on and the egr blanked off,any ideas?
