Can someone confirm the Zafira F23 "SG" gearbox is a straight swap into a VX220 - bell housing and all? notsure.gif
I'm about to build a stronger short block aiming for about a 7800rpm limit as a bit of a hobby project. Having thought about it a bit though, I'm starting to think it'll be a waste without the right final drive. :thumbdown:
Had a Focus ST170 that could do 73mph in second because Fords marketing department demanded it be sold with a 6 speed box meant for diesels! Took the edge of an engine that was way better than the press gave it credit for. Don't want to make the same mistake with this build.
As long as 80mph in 5th is about a 3800rpm cruise I reckon my Ipod / Sennheiser earbud combo can cope with the noise. I SAID COPE WITH THE NOISE! 😃
Of course Vocky's M32 would be perfect, the cost isn't!
