However, I've fixed it for you John. Reason it wasn't working is because the URL you had was "mode=view_own_vehicle" when it should have been "mode=view_vehicle", so I've changed it for you, and it's working OK now.

Not heard yet so prob done all service bits Friday and get it back on Monday.

Just got it back!

First time ever it failed, As well as excessive wear on ARB droplinks (which i knew about), one track rod end had excessive play and the rear spring had snapped, as well as emissions been slightly high border line fail.

So a full service later, oil / filter / plugs / discs / ARB droplinks / springs / Trackrod ends it went through.

Still running slighty rich even after service i think new first 02 sensor may be required soon.

Any other reason for running high??

I will also upload a picture of the loan car i had.

Think it is but the mechanic says he has had a few 200cpi cats and never had a close to fail.

Could be manifold but doesnt sound like a leak i presume you would hear it?

on when u rev it

thing is when the lambdas are in closed loop [idle] the front lambda & rear lambda are used to control fueling thus reducing emissions, only after a certain rev range do the lambdas become useless in the sense they are in open loop

before u start forking out silly money, give the car a good service such as plugs. oil change. fuel filter then rag the tits off it before it goes back in for a retest so u get the cat nice and warm

the thing with cats are that I seen cars fail emissions tests if they been sitting outside a MOT station for a day before the test, and then it has passed when i taken it down the motorway for 30 minutes before being tested

also ditch the induction kit if u got it and put the fuel pressure regulator vacuum on the air intake pipe if it is not

Should have made my post a clearer, the car has now past the MOT, it did have oil / filter /plugs , induction kit not fitted yet just that even after this it was still close to the limit.

It does smell rich and has been burning more fuel then normal but i thought it was due to this time of year and it was ready for a service.

So you dont think it is the pre cat 02 sensor?

I may just keep a eye on fuel consumption, and see if i can hear any leaks from the mani, anything else you can think of or wouldnt you worry.

I'm averaging 15-17mpg at the moment driving to work and back!!!

Anyway, I remember the first MOT after having the sport cat fitted and it almost failed emmissions. After that I've always taken the car to Daz for it's MOT as the car has a good run and gets nice and hot. The emmissions have now always been as you would expect, a normal, healthy, OE emmissions report well in tolerance. Once the precat has been removed and less cells in the cat, it takes longer to start performing.

Cheers guys.

Could be down to the CAT then as i can not confirm what the engine temp was before the test. It was poss cold start.
