Total of 3 days work to get it all done up to an extremely high standard.
here are a few pics of the work completed
a couple of recent pics from work done on car
replacing the chains

broken timing chain guide (never had any rattles from chain so was very lucky)

heavily worn bendix on starter motor

cracked belt tensioner

pollen filter that has covered over 80k km

even though i had done the gearbox breather modification as per vauxhalls F23 service update. I still suffered severe oil loss from the breather on the track day.

I modified this further to a setup similar to what pro alloy supply for the vx220.
tube from original breather location

pipe work from fill point (this will allow the catch can to empty back into the gearbox)

catch can with built in breather in cap. (mounted to the side of the abs unit with a custom bracket)

will test this new setup on a drive i know causes loss of oil soon to make sure it all holds up.
