advise on stand alone management????

hi all, my mate is in the process of putting a astra VXR nurberg lump into a mk4 astra 1.7d van, the conversion is going well but unsure on what and were to be looking for the stand alone management!

can anyone point me in the right direction? i've heard omex is a good one to look at?

Depends which features you want from it.. a deciding point is often either throttle pedal (do you want to retain the electronic throttle?), trigger wheel pattern (do you want to use the original one, if so what design is it?) and sequential ignition/injection (do you need to use a cam sensor)?
