Windows Regulator

Dont suppost if anyone has even changed one of these in their vectra have they?

Driver side? If so, is it easy?

Mine is nackered, and the window doesnt go up properly, and when took the door card off, and took the side air bag off, the arm is bent, so i need a new one.

But they are £74.50 + VAT, then around 1-2hours fitting. So going to cost around £200 to get it fitted etc.

So im wondering if there going to be easy to fit? or a right bitch? lol

I have been having a little trouble with my drivers window, it won't go all the way down i wonder if i have the same problem.

The regulator shouldn't be too hard to change i would have thought, i changed the rears on my car for leccy ones and was fairly straight forward to do. I wouldn't pay to have it fitted thats for sure. Have you had a look on ebay for one?

the regulators are fixed in by 4 rivets and some bolts(3 i think) the rivets are made of steel so are very hard to remove,use vauxhall rivets as alloy rivets can wear and cause more damage,when you change your regulator change the glass run channel as that is the reason for the regulator to bend in the first place,if your window starts sticking and you have to move the glass to make it move up and down change the channel for a new one(dont use secondhand) as the channel has worn

they are fairly easy to change,get the window in the down position,remove the rear window guide so the glass can slide then pull the old one out and slide the new on in,if your window is sticking when going up then get a new channel

I got a windows regulator from a spot down south somewhere, £45 delivered. Better than paying £90 or sumet daft. Is second hand thought, but not thinking of keeping the car long anyways.

me and the old lad are going to have a bash at it, along with a lad who used to work in a garage. im sure 3 heads can get round it! lol

I hope that ain't the rear one. I've just bought a pair of rear window regulators with all the wiring and they don't look like that.

no the one i posted is a front one, the ones you are showing are rear ones.

was just wondering if thats all i need for the front as i wanna replace it.
