what is the correct compression for a z22se engine in a 2003 vec

mine is between 8 - 9 bar is this a problem or shal i not worrie?

only reason i ask is cause i got the cream on the dipstick and a little bit on the cap but been told the z22se is common for the condensation

i am not loosing water from when i know only bought it yesterday and also no oil in water got heating and it does not over heat at all

It should be between 12 - 15 bar.

No more than 1 bar between cylinders

maximum of 25% pressure loss from wear and tear.

A bit of sludge in the cap and on the dipstick is quite common.

If your really worryd tho see if you can get your water tested for cumbustable material :thumbup:

thanks for that but what if the water comes back ok.

could the chain of slipped but still let the car run ok? or should i just ignore it and not worrie

If your compression test values are ok within those limits and your not using any water i wouldnt worry about it.

Mine worryed me a bit when i firs got it cus i had the same as you with sludge under the cap! Its still like it now i pretty sure nearly all z22se's do it.

I only said about the water test incase you were really concerned about it that way it'l put you mind at rest.

I wouldn't worry about it tho.
