Cam chain tensioner.

Hi everyone.
Im a complete noob in the auto-repair department and to make matter worse, im from Denmark, so pls. bear with me.
Using the forums great walkthroughs in changing the cam chain, I have, so far successfully, installed a new cam chain kit including new oil jet. I am, however, a bit confused over the cam chain tensioner. It looks very different from the old one, and I havent been able to find any pictures of how to install it anywhere. There doesn´t seem to much "spring-effect" in it.

When I installed the tensioner it did tension the chain quite a bit, but I am afraid it isn´t tensioned enough.

Does anyone know how to install this "new" tensioner correctly?

what I do is release the tensioner BEFORE fitting it, just press it down onto a hard surface, this will release the spring

fitting it is slightly harder, you will need to push the tensioner and turn it at the same time, but at least you know 100% the tensioner is engaged :thumbup:
