mikeydee does anyone know how to lift the tensioner up on the alternator belt? it looks like a round hole but saw someone else on here said you could use a 3/8 drive ratchet. i managed to get a bit of lift using a c spanner with some lugs on it but when i get the new alternator on i want to know the proper way of doing it. Any help would be great. cheers.
MikeS on the pre face vectras I needed another person with me i got underneath the car and used a socket on it and pushed it up whilst the other person put the belt on
vocky 3/8" ratchet or a 3/8" rachet square end thingy/lump of square steel and a 3/8" spanner :thumbup:
