new exhaust manifold

gonna be fitting the new stanless 4 branch shortly.
not taken the manifold off on this car before.
any tips/problems that might occur.??? guess my worst fear is shearing a bolt!

soak the bolts on the head in wd40 for a good 30 minutes

dont use sockets to tighten up, use a ring spanner

and take your time

Which manifold did you go for in the end?? I find use sockets to get the nuts on and off with and some I thnk are to hard to put A ring spanner on unless u have a rachet spanner.

the four branch stainless one from courtenays.
did a bit of shopping aorund and to be hounest the were by far the cheapest!!

That's the Piper manifold then Paul. Be careful when tightening it up. Do it gradually from the middle outwards. Bit in the middle then a bit at the ends then back to the middle and so on. Buy a new gasket for the manifold and the downpipe flanges too.

The Piper manifolds were not flat so this is why you need to do it up from the middle.

just gone out to take the car out and yet another flexi has gone.
time to do the mod you did on yours i think.did it work??

I've had no problems since fitting that engine mount conversion. Its far better than not having it there. Very secure.
