first attempt @ port / polish TB

Oki no ribbing me for this but i went to work today on ecky's old Throttle body with a cheap dremel and some assorted wet n dry paper

tbh i cant even tell if i have ported it out but the car does accelerate better and a slightly more sharper response

using a real fine we n dry paper at the end made it super smooth and then used some mr muscle polish with a touch of lemon and honey 😛

Nice work Mike, it's suprising how much comes out of there isn't it. I used metal rasp bits in a drill, and although I never weighed what I ported out, the volume of metal shavings was equivilent to a £2 coin! Looks a great polished finish too :thumbup:

Mine was really gunked up from the EGR, but that's never gonna happen again now :wink:

yeh EGR system on this engine is flawed, mix of vapours and sludge combined with hot carbon is looking for trouble underneath an electric moving plate

Thats a good effort mike looks spot on :thumbup: Its a bit of a worry on how far you can go with them.

Be much smoother now 🙂

good point, how do you know what to thin and smooth
and how much ? expensive trial n error if ya get it wrong :think:
