Connect pc to pc?

I now have a wireless card on my pc upstairs and I need to connect it to my router downstairs. How do I do it? notsure.gif . I want my pc upstairs to have access to the pc downstairs. I have a router running but I don't know how to connect them up dunno.. . Cheers for any info

You should be able to share folders on the PCs with each other. What OS are you running Mark?

My main pc downstairs is running Vista and my pc up is running XP

Run the network set up wizard and it will allocate a shared folder on each pc, (you need to run this on both pc's) you can swap files using this folder or you can allocate any folders you wish to share, another way is use a program called radmin which will give you full access and control from one pc to another and you can access or transfer any file, if you want the program pm me and i will send it to you, i have it on all the pc's and lappys in the house so i can keep an eye on the kids (and just be a nosy bas***d lol)

Don't forget to allow file sharing on your firewall as well Mark.

Still stuck on how to do the file sharing thing. I don't know how to do it on my Vista nd my Xp pc's

Right I have now gone and bought another pc as my other one upstairs was not the best. It had a pentium 4 fitted. The one I have bought has Vista, so it will be Vista connecting to Vista on the sheared folder thing. Will that be easier to do? The one I have bought is a Dell:

I installed Mc Afee and it did it for me, it asked if I wanted to going it up with my other pc
