which type of fuel do you use, and do you notice a differance, esp in fuel economy

i just use normal crap but when i have used the vmax and ulitmate it dies make a big difference but i dont want to spend that much on fuel lol

Got no choice but to use V-Power or Tesco 99. I tried BP Ultimate and never found it to be as good as advertised.

Unless it is modded and mapped etc just normal 95 stuff although i try to stay clear of supermarket.

aye supermarket crap is bottom of the barrel

read a report on supermarket fuel, very interesting as major suppliers such as shell and esso etc put additives in the fuel to increase octane and keep it at a level for a period of time where as supermarket fuel they get it at discounted rates without certain additives

all fuel loses its octane rating if left for a period of time just supermarket is even worse at that

my experience with supermarket fuel is that i get through it a lot faster than other fuel companies and i notice loss in acceleration

I notice that as well Mike, MPG drops like a stone with supermarket fuel.

I've not used supermarket fuel for a couple of years now. Always ran the Vectra on Ultimate Diesel, and the Astra SXI was always run on BP 95 Ron

TMS did test it. I've only used it 3 times but never had any problems.

I think it's more the general supermarket fuel that's the issue, obviously the Tesco99 stuff is good, but more the Morrisons stuff that is of a lower quality.

i cant imagine that high octane fuel makes much differance in a standard 2.2, the engine is made to run on 92 octane!
if it was high compression or forced induction i can see it making a differnace.
The test TMS conducted was great, doing the same in a lesser tuned car would be interesting reading

:wave: hi i find that if i use super unleaded i get more power and better MPG .But don't use it much as i got petrol card at morrisons and they don't have super unleaded PS I have sports exhaust and induction kit and remap and still get about 35 MPG

cauldron fuel, i hear thats 200 octane, guaranteed 500bhp and 50mpg lol, il take a barrel or 50 how much the witch charge?
