The cone filters or induction kits are a real no no for the 2.2's as is the same on the 2.5's.
There is so much heat under the bonnet that there is no benefit because the engine responds better to cold air as its more dense. You can buy heat shields for cone filters but I would still use a panel filter instead.
I have a K&N panel filter and the 3-pipe mod too.
