Please help, i'm going mad.
I had a very small bump on Saturday and the only damage was to my bonnet which is slightly buckled and the slam panel. it still closes ok but leaves gaps up each wing (if u get me). Car is fine fine to drive etc, locks ok etc etc and up until last night (Tuesday) everthing was fine ...
Next thing i know the power sounder is ringing out totally randomly, no indictors flashing and no horn sounding, only way to stop it was to start the car up and sit in it for a few minutes. Problem is that this happens without even locking the car/activating the alarm?? dunno.. which is a tad inconveinent in the middle of the night
I've read alot about the power sounder being a common problem but i got the impression that the alarm needed to be on for this problem to occur (i may be wrong). The other thing i've tried is ... because the bonnet has buckled up slightly i thought the switch which is depressed by the bonnet (which i believe is part of the alarm system) might not be engaging properly so i've temporarily extended this using a rolled up cloth, but again..... surely the alarm needs to ON for this to cause a problem.
I'm totally miffed? dunno.. and my neighbours are gonna kill me if this keeps up
