oldhenautos I have a Zafira that we have had the head rebuilt in, the injectors are firing and there does not seem to be enough fuel getting to the top end. The fuel pump is working and we i put fuel directly in at the top end it runs but when it runs out it conks out. Can anyone help please?
vocky is the engine management light flashing when cranking over the engine ? also worth removing the fuel rail, get a piece of cardboard, aim the injectors at the cardboard and crank the engine and see if the injectors are firing
oldhenautos The engine management is off when it is running, but the service light is on. I paid someone to come and service the injectors yesterday and they seem to be working. When i put fuel straight into the manifold the car starts and runs but as soon as that petrol runs out then the car stalls and will not start again until i put petrol back in the manifold. Thanks for your reply i need all the help i can get.
MikeS the only things that control the injectors are the fuel pump relay, crank sensor, ecu relay, ecu does tyhe engine management light come on with ignition on
vocky is the crank sensor plugged in ? it can be found just above the starter motor, very awkward to get at but I would be checking the fuel pump and relay first
oldhenautos thanks for all your help but can you please tell me where the relay is as i don't have the manual. Cheer
