Sjdickso They do look good. One q though you have welded the rails, do these have to be tested to match a ISO standard or somthing though rather DIY testing?
sdbutler10 i aint got a clue tbh when they test things they do it till destruction so out of the question, i did this to my last set of seats in my old astra and they lasted for over a year, i will keep an eye on them so should be ok.
Drakey Wasn`t it a good time (with the seats being out) to give her a clean inside you mucky pup !!!!!!!!!!!!! lol Does look smart tho`.
BURT150 Your ok with the laws on fitting seats as long as the subframe bolts to the seat and to the floor what you weld inbetween is up to you as long as its welded properly with no pigeon S**T welds. Are you used to them yet? Ive changed seats before and had them out a few times to try and get them dead strait.
sdbutler10 it feels weried atm driving it with the seats since i had the others for over 2 years. yer they are bolted to the floor pan and the seats them selfs with the weld in the middle. deff no pigeon shit welds here, i used to be like that a few yrs back but got pretty good now, but prob no way as good as you lol. i sent hrs getting them all lined up so they sit fine check once chceck twice thing 😃
BURT150 I wasn't critisizng your welding skills i bet its spot  Just meen that if the law or someone wanted to take a look at thats what they'd be looking for. Im only as good as i am cus i do it everyday. Its like anything the more you do it the better you get. Its always good to take your time with things that. Very nice tho and look like they should be in your car.
sdbutler10 I know burt that u wernt saying it was shit lol. It's good when u pull off a good weld tho ain't it. They can have a look at it all the want it a bit hard to see it anyway lol. Going to have in invest in one of your inlet pipes soon.
BURT150 It is good when i goes right. It take's alot of practice to get a good mig weld and its a good skill to have. Let me know if you want any bits  Astra stainless fuse boxes and brake res cover coming soon 😃
sdbutler10 ncie will want a brake fluid one but can have the fuse one as i need it to be custom to fit unerneath my bonnet lol
sdbutler10 well after alomst a week and over 200miles driving the seats are so much betetr over the standard ones, just holds you in better and not had any back achs for a while.
steadyEddy Hiya, I know this is an old thread now, but where did you get those lovely seats from? they look the business.. You mentioned £225 is that each? or for the pair? lol 🙂 Are they easy to fit to the standard seat frame? Cheers m8
