hello there, i am a new member and have just brought a astra 2.2 2002plate, i have just noticed the engine starting to sound like a diesel. and i have been reading all the posts on this furum about the chain issues! i decided to ring vx local dealer who told me if it didnt have full vx history they wouldnt help, so then rang gm office and they said there was never any recalls of the astra and the timing chain should not break,,,,,,,, <u>BUT</u> if i did break then it would by down to me and me alone to sort the problems out. whats should i do next???? amd were the astras infected by these oil feed issues?? or was it just the vectrars. thanks
