Hi all, just took the plunge and bought two Toyo Proxes T1R's for the front of my Astra. I'm running non standard size wheels with 215/45 ZR17 tyres, but by crikey these Toyos don't half grip well in the wet!
With the Khumo's (same size)the car wasn't that fussed with standing water, even when new. I'd recommend these tyres to anyone, and best of all they are £69 each inc delivery from

Bugger. last weekend i payed 75quid each for 2 yokohama's in 215/45/17 size. I know for when the back to go now tho :thumbup: Its supprising the diference it makes with different tires. Ive baught real cheep ones in the past to try and save some money and you can see why some people call them family killers :silent:

they are some good tyres. i buy all my tyres off there.

Camskill are great so are Proxies wouldnt have anythiong esle apart from F1's for the Clio. The Astra has just Hankooks on and they seem ok even in this cold wet weather they seem just as good as Avon ZZ3 that i alway used ot have, will see how they once worn down a bit.

I have tried a lot of different tyres over the years, and I am very impressed with the T1R's, they aren't even scrubbed in yet :thumbup: all I need is some decent suspension on my coupe now!

If I can get grip with Toyo T1-R's then they are fine by me. Mark Watts of Courtenay swears by Hankook RS-2. Might give them a whirl one day.
