removing the centre section exhaust

hi all i own a vectra c 2.2 non direct im getting the standard dual exit exhaust system fitted to my car at the weekend and was wondering if it would be worth taking the centre box off and fitting a straight piece of pipe(same sort of thing as a remus),does anyone know if this is possible on my car,manythanks

i gather it doesnt do much other than generate noise....... but i like that so id chuck one on anyway!

Just about anything is possible, custom made, I can't see why not...
And all the standard centre section does is reduce noise? Rip that mofo off, bound to release a few ponys :twisted:

Was this loud, I want a bit of noise over standard, but want the standard rear boxes.

My Astra g used to give me headaches on long motorway runs, but that was straight through and the smallest back boxes the place had...

on my astra g i run a straight through to the irmscher back box. That includes pre and main cat being removed too.

perfectly civilised but gives a nice growl when i give it some beans. leaving the main cat in would mean the extra noise would be minimal

@[deleted] has a similar set up. pre-cat removed, 200cell main cat, straight through centre, and Irmscher DD back box, and it sounds just right.

Mines a vec c... So no pre cat, I'd leave the main cat and straight pipe to the standard rear box...

So should be a decent tone but not too loud?

Might even find it too quiet!!
