MID Temp Sensor

Does the outside temperature sensor that shows on the display have any bearing on the running of the car?

lol no

it is a sensor located on the underside of the front bumper

the AIT sensor is on the air intake pipe to inlet manifold

Thought it was a long shot. the reason that I ask is that it was feckin freezing out the other night and the MID showed 10'C. Might have just been the wind chill but I thought that it was a lot colder and maybe my sensor was faulty which in turn the ECU could have taken its readings whilst making its calculations along with the other sensors.

bloody freezing and it shows around 12C

Mine shows a higher temp after iv been driving and left the car for a bit, or if I'm in traffic, must just be the residual heat or radiated heat.

you would think they would put it inside the front wings or sommit but underneath the rad is stupid
