hi guys just brought a stainless steel decat down pipe off ebay for £16!!!! bargain, just wondering now though if i fit it am i going to have problems with o2 sensors?? and if so does anyone know of any ways round this???thanks

You will indeed, Z22SE's dont seem to like decats. But hope it goes well. The second 02 sensor is very sensative you will end up with a EML. You could buy a fudge / 02 sim.

Not even sure if the o2 simulator will help the problem? Hasn't Poundy gone down the decat route?

might sound like a stupid question but were would i find a fudge?o2 simulator?? and as im new to the forum could you explain how to get into contact with poundy, cheers for the help by the way

Or you can buy a cap that you screw on the end of the 02 sensor seen these on a few other cars, I think piper sell them.

Poundy is a member on here who is running the first SC'd Vec B.

hi guys its been a few weeks now, i fitted the decat pipe, drove it for 100miles all was ok, then the engine light came as you all predicted!
so ive removed the decat pipe, i driiled out the precat and fitted the old pipe. just thought i would say thanks for your help and advice.........oh and does any one want to buy a stainless steel decat pipe??? lol

yer what size is the pipe is it 2" like standard or bigger?
just to let you know burt the vectra and astra ones are a bit different.

in my opion the car seems to be running better with the original de-restricted pipe on,
the stainless steel decat pipe is 54mm- slightly bigger then the original but i used anexhaust stretcher to make it fit

scott standard is under 2"

the aftermarket pipe he has is 2"

i am more concerned about 2.5" and back pressure tbh

mine was done up at courtenays but i havent got a standard down pipe on mine.its been cut off at the manifold and is 3" right from the start.
they must have programmed it when i had the first part of the mod done(cs5)
i know it was def removed at the time so it is possible to get it right.
