Disaster with new engine!

I have really had enough with this car.

Just had a pritty much new engine done under warranty. Car has just done 800 miles i have been so careful breaking it in.

Today everytime i came to stand still the car felt as if it was going to stall. revs droping to 400 raising to 600.

Get home check the oil near min mark so ftops up the oil, notice fresh oil running everywhere so i wipe the enigine and carefully top up a bit more same again i just want to

Will phone the dealership up tomorrow, what could it be? head gasket or somthing?

i had the same prob when i got a new engine with mine with the stalling it need a new pressure valve there was no oil leek though

No mate not having any look at all. I hope it gets fixed as i would like to keep the car. Cars booked in for tonight i hope it's just a gasket of some sort that needs tightening.

sounds like they have not lined the gasket up right to me but im no mechanic so i may be wroung,hope it's an easy fix for you.

Dropped the car off Last night, had a call from the dealer app looks like the cam gasket has split.

New one should be on for middle of the week and then they are testing on the stalling issue.

I will be glad to get it back and working as i have decided to keep it for at least another year.

I presume so, they didnt mention about any costs that would be incurred on me.

They said they would just get it sorted and look at the satlling prob.

Picked my car up today, Engine running much smoother and no idle problems at all (touch Wood)

Ecu has been flashed and new cam gasket on, lets hope thats it now!

had the car nearly stalling wen i put mine back together last nite,was the throttle poteneometer not set,must have turned the ign on witha plug unclipped or summat,pluged it into diag machine,cleared the errors and way to go...

Like i said i hope i can just get on enjoy rallygif now.
Todays journey to work was much better feels like it has got much more torque.
Looking forward to the weekend now to give it a real good polish & wax.
