sdbutler10 As the title says really i wanted to do somehting different again so i thought i would remove the roof lining and cover it in carbon fiber. so here is my progress. afetr i ripped off all the cloth on it leaving the foam under lay. all stripped down ready for first coat of resin to stiffin it up and smoothit down after the first coat of resin this is how it is going i will keep it updated.
Sjdickso You never know what you are going to do next Scott. looking forward to the progress on this. Have you got one large strip of CF?
sdbutler10 yer im gettiong abit which is 1.5mx1.3 and all the resins i need for £100 delivered which aint to bad.
JohnnyN Me thinks that its going to look damn fine! How about when it comes to putting it back in now that its stiffer?
sdbutler10 it stiff already i just made it abit more stiffer. it going it fine a bit tights be goes it when seats are flat and windows are down. im looking forwrd til;l this is done as im hoping will look amazing. going to have many hours of work put in to it,
sdbutler10 Heres a bit of an update. i have sanded down the first coat of resin which left some imprefections. so today i brought 3ltrs of resin and 100ml of hardner for £22 bargin as its industrial quality. i covered it in a big sheet of matting and resined the matt to cover all lump ect. here are some pics. so waht you all think then?
BURT150 Nice its gettin there  . Did you use polyester resin or epoxy with the chopstrand matt? There is a core matt you can buy wich would give you a bit more thickness but cover over the lumps. Ive used it before for large pannels to stop them bouncing.
Matt You certainly don't do things by half do you Scott?!? Good work, and looking to seeing it finished
sdbutler10 its an epoxy resin burt. it a strand matting which i got a roll of it for free so wernt moaning lol. i want to make sure this is a proper job since the carbon is going to cost over 100
